It's fast approaching that time of year again folks - election of office bearers (AGM April 8th)! If you think you can contribute and want to get involved, please come along and make your voice heard! Franny will definately be stepping down as Membership Secretary so that will be a post we are looking for a willing volunteer - get the thumb screws out! Subs will also be due on this night - 7.00 again this year folks.
AGM 8th April - We have a Chris Daphne coming along from the National Anguila Club to do a talk on eels - ok with me as long as he doesn't bring any live 'samples'.
Our next outing will be on Loch Tay March 13th & 14th. Boat hire is available from Milton Morenish 01567 820323 please phone for prices, please note there is no trolling allowed, for permits for the bank they can be obtained from Killin news agents and cost £6 a day it is advised to have a permit before fishing. Times for competition will be from dawn to dusk, fish caught must be reported to Hugh McMillan within 5 days of the event, evan if it’s a blank as you get a point for turning up and fishing the event.
Clean-Up Lomond Proposal. At the last meeting we spoke of a clean up on the east side of Lomond, Joe has contacted Zoe Morris from Lomond and she said we have the permission to do so but we will be responsible for our own health and safety as there will be no rangers( its ok Tony not that kind of ranger) present, she did say they would provide us with the proper PPE and bin bags and grab sticks, We are thinking of having this sometime in July as we have no outing for that month, the date to be confirmed, I hope we have a good turn out as it was your idea!
Our last outing was to Loch Ken , 6 members turned out and only a handful of fish turned up, Martin McNeil got the biggest fish of 6 lbs so he wins this months tackle voucher from Fyne tackle, well done.
Glasgow Angling Centre - Just to remind members that when you purchase goods at the shop to remind the staff that you are in the Glasgow branch of PAAS and they will put it on their computer, a percentage will go towards a fund which we will get at the end of the year and that will go towards prizes for our angling night. Thanks.
